28^th International Istanbul Boat Show will host the maritime sector in Marinturk City Port Istanbul, the newest and the biggest marina of Istanbul, in 2008. We are thrilled to announce that we organize an In-Water BOAT SHOW that will be held on 22-27^th October 2008.

International Istanbul Boat Show is IFBSO’s (The International Federation of Boat Show Organizers that appoints the quality standards for the maritime sector since 1995) sole member in Turkey and has a ground place among the first 45 international maritime exhibitions in the world.

We will once again set the standards for the maritime sector with the cooperation of companies engaged in maritime and trade such as national or international motorboat-sailing boat-mega yacht building, ship building maintenance, ship equipments, tenders, inboard-outboard engines, sailing clubs, water sports kit and equipments, training institutions, ship chartering and brokerage, marinas, clothing manufacturers, the press and the counsellorship.

The host of International Istanbul Boat Show, the most significant “sector gathering” in Turkey, will be Marinturk City Port Istanbul for 10 years.

Marinturk City Port Istanbul has the comfort and efficient infrastructure that will satisfy the rising needs of Istanbul in the last few years. Aiming to win “5 Gold Anchor Award” Marinturk City Port Istanbul is still under construction however the yachts will be accepted to the marina after the sixth month of the year 2008. The marina’s goal is to provide comfort and security for the yacht owners via 1000 berths, pontoons for mega yachts, the sublift 200 tons, various services in the marina site, a car park with a capacity of 1200 vehicles and its elegant decoration.

The date of the 28^th International Istanbul Boat Show was designated with regard to the international maritime exhibitions calendar. Moreover October is the time period when many yachts and maritime equipments make their premiers and it provides the opportunity to launch the yachts that have been ordered during the exhibition before the coming season. Hence the date October has the utmost importance for both the exhibitors and the visitors. The timing is also significant for the national ship builders for it gives them the privilege to organize the production line effectively.

Istanbul is one of the ten leading cities in the world through its geographical positioning as a crossroad between Asia and Europe, history, cultural background, cosmopolitan city life, tendency to enlarge, new plazas, dynamic population, energy, pleasant climate, nature and delicate kitchen. Taking the rapid growth of Turkish maritime sector into the consideration we aim an international exhibition that will attract neighboring countries as well.

There are three optional itineraries on the highway to reach the exhibition area: E5, E6 and Pendik routes.

The visitors that are yacht owners could reach the exhibition area by sea and they could enjoy the exhibition staying moored in the marina for free. For the map please click.

The traditional gathering of the sector that has been held on-land in Istanbul Exhibition Centre will go on as well. We have already begun to make preparations for the exhibition that will be held in February 2009.
